If its only three of us, though I guess I could tone down the fights, I think it would take out a lot of what makes them interesting. I'll bring what I've got, but I'm up for some alternative ideas. 4e just doesn't translate all that well to having less than 4 players, certainly not less than 3.

Sorry, I wasn't watching the boards over the weekend, but Phil got it right. I'm definitely on for May 24th, if you guys plan that far ahead.
I've rolled up a 7th lvl. dwarf warlock and will work on some backstory so you can work him into the group.
Joseph, what kind of gear can he start with. As he is now he's sporting the basic gear (backpack, etc.), leather armor (+2 AC), and the level 7 Quickcurse Rod +2. If he needs more/less gear to balance out let me know, I don't want to go overboard.

Standard starting equipment is one item +1 your level, one item = your level, One item -1 your level, Starting gold equal to the value of one item -1 your level which can be spent however you wish. So right now you still have your lvl 8 and level 6. slot to fill and anything you might want to spend gold on. (some really cool and cheap level 1-3 items are out there). For your level 6 and 8 slot you can choose something less than 8 if none of the 8 items appeal to you. If you choose not to pick a magic leather armor the regular leather armor, along with any other gear you want, comes out of your starting gold.
A new rule I'm implementing that I forgot to mention is that while you can use any book you want, anything out of dragon magazine must be cleared by me with at least a week's notice. Most of it is ok, but I read the character Op boards quite often and there are a few things I have to agree are a bit too strong. If I don't get a week's notice the feature/power/feat/item whatever will be unusuable until I've had some time to look it over. I'm gonna make a house rule thread listing my house rules, which is pretty much just this at the moment.
Another striker will be nice. Take some pressure off the tanks and the paladin's LoH.

Okay, the dwarf warlock isn't working well with the concept I have in mind for my character and his history. However, the change isn't big as my character is going to be a human sorcerer.
Background forthcoming!
Edit: Also, Do the events surrounding the Red Hand of Doom mentioned in the "Prologue" (Events thread) correspond with the events described in the Governments, Factions, Individuals of Note thread? In other words, was the defeat of Sinruth the same event that led to the rise of the rebellion and the 6 year war?
If so...
Are the heroes of Brindol the current player characters?
If so...
Is the current adventure set after the end of the six year war?
If so...
How long?
I guess I should have asked these questions a while ago, but after reading everything published for this campaign I was left with these questions. I integrated the history of the campaign, specifically the ascension to power by the Convenant, into my character and am realizing that it may be non sequitar if I have the timeline wrong.
To the point: if the current adventure takes place after the Convenant ends the war and institutes the no magic law then my story works.

You have the order of events correct. The Covenant is indeed in power and the no magic law is in full effect. At least it is near the central cities. The borderlands aren't as heavily under the Covenant thumb and set up their own laws and "systems of justice." The covenant has been in charge 4 years now.
The whereabouts of the heroes of Brindol are unknown. They were last seen investigating who or what was behind the feeble attempt to ressurect the Red Hand of Doom.

Does Oorlog consist of a single continent surrounded by the Black Sea? Where does Zon City reside (North, South, SE, NW, etc.)? Since travelling inland, and away from the sea delves further into the Frontier Lands, I'm assuming Zon City is on a coast.
My character is from a coastal area, considered deep in the Frontier Land so I want to be sure not to place it on the same coast.

Its mostly one continent covering roughly half the globe. Look at a real world one and imagine the Americas are not there; it's kinda like that. There are, of course, islands of various sizes but nothing anywhere near the size of say Australia.
You aren't going to find too much undeveloped areas by the coasts, even as you get away from Zon City. And where there is high commerce and trade there is high political power. Now that doesn't mean that the Covenant has perfect control everywhere, but you're not gonna find many cities that aren't under some kind of strong government control. Think of the frontier lands kinda like the wild west. If there is a lot of wealth to be tapped besides just land for land's sake, it has yet to be discovered.
Figure Zon City is somewhat equatorial. The least controlled coastal areas will be the far north and south as you begin to close in on the more arctic areas, because there just isn't as many resources to take advantage of. The only exception would be a far far off coast island. Just big enough to support life, but not quite big enough to have much reason to do anything with it. Something along the lines of a last stop before you hit the unexplored Black Sea. If that works, feel free to get creative with the culture and population of the island. I can think of a lot of ideas, but I don't want to write your character for you. You would see a similar lax amount of observation from the mainland, and it would easy for you to make the culture very detached from mainstream society because it is so far removed from the continent.

Well I got sour news for you, jack. It ain't that easy. For instance, are you willing to make the commitment to wakin' up at the crack a' noon, for deep-knee rock squats!?
Yeah, I'd be ready to rock your socks off.
