Session Date: 03 January 2010
Outstanding Items List: - XP for the last encounter. - XP, if earned, for the RP encounter at the entrance of the Ghallanda Enclave. - Determine what to do with the contents (magic scroll for level 5 item, pressed Residuum for making a level 5 item, and blueprints) of the parcel Kara carried. Besides handing it over to one of the interested parties, we must decide whether to permit the House Deneith Blademark(?) to make copies of the House Cannith blueprints of a House Cannith foundry that is capable of making magic weapons, warforged, and the like.
There are other topics that need to be discussed, but the above are at the forefront.

I guess this is related to how Bren would answer these questions, I can't find him specifically in the Eberron Player's Guide. So yeah, I'm trying to find him so that I can RP him properly otherwise I'll end up making decisions on my own that won't fit his personality.

Bren is just a name pulled out of the first quest in the campaign guide that became a more important NPC.
What I told you about him already: loyal servant of Breland. served as a commander in the Last War. doesn't like the methods of the swords of liberty, may or may not sympathize with their goals. thinks Lord Ruken is a sleaze.
The rest of his personality (for instance, his opinion of various dragonmarked houses, the Brelish king, or Brelish parliament other than Ruken) is yours to decide.

I'll try to put up a "story so far" soon to catch everybody up.

- Did Kara specify who the recipient was supposed to be? - Do the plans represent goods of which they've already made use, stolen from House Cannith or do they represent new technology, stolen before House Cannith could make use of them? Arcana or History check - Depending on the above answer, would either House Deneith or House Cannith be dangerously more powerful if they obtained a copy? History check
Aeron'eth is concerned with the balance of influence and power (I will be posting a "vision" to represent the motives for this belief). If these plans represent the potential for a major shift in power, then he would suggest proliferation.
Insight check: question the surviving Blademark about House Deneiths motives for obtaining the plans. Aeron'eth trusts him, for now, based upon his non-hostility but is suspect of his mission.
Note: the "checks" are just suggestions so that we can get answers and move forward. I'm fine with waiting until the session to discuss these things.

-Holma hired her to transport it from New Cyre to Sharn. -You believe the parcel contains (at least part of the) plans for a Creation Forge. These Cannith factories are capable of producing magic items, constructs, and even warforged. They were all supposed to have been shut down as part of the Treaty of Thronehold, which ended the Last War. We'll play out the conversation with the Blademark during the session.

Alright David here's the deal. I told you last week that I will for sure not be coming in for your session but the circumstances have changed and I WILL be attending your session. I'm sorry if you prepared writing Bren out of the story a bit but Phil reminded a few minutes ago that I have ALL THE MINIS. Yes, if Phil did not remember that fact then tomorrow would be very...interesting for you guys.
I'll see you guys at 1pm.

So, when those wraiths were stilling stuff from us I forgot that the Cannith Creation Forge schematics were locked inside the box that was Kara's parcel. The fact that we recovered it makes the matter moot but this might be an important fact in the future. The key is also in my possession.
David, would Aeron'eth believe that if the box were stolen, without the key, that someone would be able to eventually open it, whether though brute force or technical skill?

I think it would be in the best interest of the party if mummyjohn, or someone with ritual caster, master Transfer Enchantment. We are sitting on some considerable loot of which we should make use.

An order of business I would like to retcon, if needed; the following items seem to be of no use or are unwanted by our current party. I would like to suggest that we sold them for 20% of their worth while in Sharn if the party consents.
+1 Cloak of Distortion (L4) +1 Salubrious Scale Armor (L4) +1 Orb of Far Seeing (L3) +1 Magic Leather Armor (L1) +1 Magic Rapier (L1) +1 Magic Shuriken (L1) Belt of the Brawler (L3)

I thought you wanted the shuriken for a ranged attack.

Also, you might want to ask the Chessmaster before you sell the only chessboard in Khorvaire.
