Wonderful. Her only reference is "Friend of BB."
She better know/be willing to learn how to play on her own. We have enough players that we don't need to add anybody who is going to need a rules walk through every turn every Tuesday night. We'll start the vetting process tonight. See how it goes.
Until then we should call her "Probie," short for Probational.

I just edited the first post and added a link to the Google+ Hangouts call that we'll be using from now on to try to fix our audio issues. I'm not sure, but you may have to add the "roll20 app" to the interface or it may figure it out automatically. Could somebody test that out for me?

I've talked to Brian about the idea of having a session zero for my Dark Sun game where we spend time together building our character's backgrounds and discussing what we would like to see out of the game setting as a group. This is something I would expect to take about an hour or so. Mechanically you'd still build on your own time, the point of session zero is to focus on the collaborative storytelling aspect of the game as well as creating a party that meshes better than what you would normally expect out of "so you are sitting in the tavern..." Also, I know not all of you are interested in investing a lot of time learning about the Dark Sun world in advance and I don't expect you to. Session zero would allow me to fill in a lot of the gaps for you during the character creation progress as well as curb potential future problems since all the races have very significant differences that will affect the way you role-play them in Dark Sun.
The reason why I am bringing this up here instead of in my Dark Sun section, is because I am still running a module, so the decisions we make as a group I will need some time to integrate into the adventure. It's not that difficult to do, but I wouldn't be able to start the adventure that same night.
So, my proposal is in one of Brian's upcoming games him and I split. The first hour and a halfish will be session zero for my campaign. Once we've finished and I've got everybody's ideas down, we then pick back up where we left off in Phandelver.
Which session? That's up to you all. I could totally run a session zero as soon as our next game. However, that would only work if everybody involved feels they are ready for session zero. Ready doesn't mean you have a complete character sheet, but it does mean you have a character in mind: race, class, background, flaws, ideals, and bonds being the only things semi-required for session zero. They don't have to be things you've committed to paper; just ideas you have in mind for a Dark Sun Character.
While I will continue to update my Dark Sun pages, if you know nothing at all about Dark Sun, I have posted enough to get you started for session zero. Any extra reading and research you do on your own is great, but is in no way required to be fully involved in the campaign.

Hey guys. I'm not going to make it tonight. I'm in Utah with family and I spread myself a little thin. I'm up for a makeup game next week if you guys are. You guys can sound off to me via text and let me know whether you can make it.
If Joseph's up for it, we'll move the introduction to his campaign to next week. Take some time to work up your character concepts and look over the campaign resources Joseph has put together. If you have questions, you can ask him and I also know a thing or two about Dark Sun. I can also point you toward some online resources and some books on the setting that were written for previous editions if you're looking for more material.
