Grumble grumble. I hate to push the game back AGAIN. But you guys will only have 3 this week then. Up to you guys if you want to play. This is kind of frustrating from a DM's stand point How is it frustrating? Because you had to prep sooner than later or is it the fact that you could have planned something else that gameday? When I have a delayed game, I used the granted time to more finely tune what I have prepared. If anything, a delayed game makes the next one that much greater, both in quality due to more preparation time and anticipation from not getting our gaming fix when we expected it.

If anything, a delayed game makes the next one that much greater, both in quality due to more preparation time and anticipation from not getting our gaming fix when we expected it. Stephen, the game was delayed already for a month from the first session. There has been, at least for me, a lot of anxiousness to get the next game going. It is frustrating because I want to share the world and really get the players involved into the world I created and it is hard because i've had to constantly delay the game due to player absences. When there is a set date, a month and a half in advance, for a game that it is agreed everyone to show up on, and someone bails... Well isn't that frustrating?

How is it frustrating? Because you had to prep sooner than later or is it the fact that you could have planned something else that gameday? A single delay is no biggie. Life happens to all of us, and we understand. We're all cool with that. It's the recurring delays that are frustrating. We haven't played in a while (at least compared to our usual schedule), so having an unexpected delay when we were planning to have a game is frustrating. I think, in part, this is due to a lack of community. When we were at the store, we were able to bring in substitute or permanent players without much difficulty. Without the community store, we are left with a smaller pool of potential players. (Like that alliteration?)
