This reminds me. Did I leave the gummy bears I brought to last session somewhere? David's fridge? JP's car? Looking forward to seeing a full party again!

JP - are you interested in running (or handing over to another DM) a playtest this weekend? Or would you like to stick with Valenor? I'm happy either way, just wondering what your thoughts are.

Alrighty, I could do that. Let's see if other people are interested first, though.
Please post your preference - playtest D&D Next or run Valenor: Kyle - DM JP - ok to playtest David - prefers Valenor, would still playtest Phil - playtest Stephen - playtest
Davis - absent Mike - ah who are we kidding, I'm sure he'd be happy either way.

I'd be fine either way, but have a slight preference for Valenor.

I'm ok to playtest. Do you have a PDF of the rules you can send me, or post to somewhere I can find them? I can't access them on the wizard's site. I've tried

^Yes, I'll set up a dropbox or something with the pdf files later tonight.
FYI - there are 5 pre-generated characters: Cleric of Moradin, Cleric of Pelor, Fighter, Rogue, Wizard. I haven't actually looked at the clerics' pages, but I hear they play differently - one is an armored melee cleric while the other is an unarmored spell cleric.
So we are just waiting to hear from Stephen and Davis. If you guys prefer to play Valenor, that's cool. I'm just floating the idea for a playtest.

Yes. I'd totally do the play test. It's exactly how I expected 4 to be when it came out. A variation of 3.5 and a slightly faster play pace instead of the outright video game playpace.
Dibs on wizard if we do it.

Only 5 classes, 6 players, what will we do?

^ Double up on one class. You could even play twins, lol.

Actually, I don't think I can make it this weekend anyway. Finals and graduation are approaching, have a lot of stuff to work on all weekend. So you can get 5 players with 5 classes.

I am NOT printing updated erza since we are doing playtest. Is someone going to print the character sheets/rule book though?

OK - the playtest is definitely on this weekend. I'll DM.
A printed rulebook would be great if someone can manage it.
*edit: I have printed the DM's guide and the adventure itself, so there is no need to print that. However, you guys will need to print your own character sheets. I'll call Mike B and ask him what he wants to play, my guess is rogue (er, "merchant"), but who knows. I don't mind if there are duplicates, so just play what you want. Also, if someone can print the rules guide, that would be helpful, I am sure.
