"Quick! You've got to get out of here! It isn't safe!" Lorack looked aroud trying to find a form of escape. Frantically he searched while in the back of his mind he was sure that this was encounter was surely to spell his doom. He pressed against the walls and finally found what seemed like a switch. When he pushed it a hole in one of the walls slowly appeared. "Aha! A window! But why didn't u tell of this before," Lorack said. "I forgot about it...Hurry though through the window u go! My husband can't find you here like this!" The woman balled up Lorack's robes and tossed them behind him as he scurried through the window. He bent over to grab his clothes and turned to the window. "One last kiss for the road my fair maiden?" The woman turned toward him and kissed him. "Ah yes, and before I forget, my payment?" The woman smiled at him. "I balled up a sack of coins into your robes as I was gathering them. I'm sure you'll find the payment more rewarding then what you asked. You deserved it...Now go!" She gave him one last smile and she shut the window. Lorack jumped into some nearby cover to put his clothes back on before he decided to travel back into town. The sack of coins dropped to the floor as he tossed on his robes. He picked up the satchel and tossed it in his hand. "Hmmmm, this does seem a little heavier than usual." He opened the sack to find 10 gold within it. "Ahh, another day of fine work." He smirked to himself and began down the road.
Night began to draw upon the town of Foren, a small, quaint tourist town along the main road which was filled with small game houses and inns for travelers to settle in for the night. Lorack headed toward one of the inns. As he stepped inside an old man greeted him. "Ah Lorack! How goes the days work!" Lorack drew the pouch of coins and shook it in front of the old man's face. "Pretty well old man, pretty well," he said as he smirked at the old man and gave him a playful punch in the arm. "You better be careful with me Lorack! You just might take my arm off haha." Lorack looked over at the bar area. "Any adventurer's come in today?" The old man shook his head. "I can't say i saw any today. But I hear that tomorrow there are gonna be some adventurer's coming through in search of some artifact." Lorack kept his eye on a woman sitting at the bar as the old man explained. "Hmm interesting. Well I think I'll be off to bed now. Have a good rest of the night old man." Lorack headed over to the bar, spoke with the woman, and headed up to his quarters with her.
The next day as Lorack woke and got himself ready for the day, he heard a commotion coming from downstairs. As he made his way down he could hear a loud, booming voice. "If the owner of this here inn don't pay Lord Saurrack his dues by the end of this here week, we're gonna do more then just mess up the crappy bar." Lorack peered inside the bar to see the place trashed. A dwarf and three humans stood in the middle of the floor. Lorack let out a long, drawn out sight. He stepped out into the bar area and spoke, "You there. Short stack. What do u think you're doing here?" The dwarf quickly turned to face Lorack's direction. "What did you say! I take kindly to people refferin me to by me height. You just got yerself into some trouble kid." Lorack put his hand up and flicked his finger. A small, dark energy began to swirl amongst his fingers. "You messed with the wrong old man." He threw his arm forward and as he extended the energy followed his motion and formed into a ball of energy at the end of his hand. It flew toward the dwarf and then jumped to each of the humans. As the bandits recovered from the sudden blow, Lorack reached inside his robes and pulled two daggers from it. He raised them high and bolts of lightning struck the enemies. They layed there passed out from the blow. The old man of the inn rushed over to Lorack. "Thank the gods that you came down in time to stop them! You are a hero Lorack, a hero!" Lorack sheathed his daggers and patted the old man on the shoulder, "haha old man, you need to watch who it is you deal with. I can't keep putting down these silly bandits that come through here." The man went over to the bandits and kicked one with his feeble leg. "That'll teach you to come over here again!" Four of the bar-goers that were standing around came over to Lorack. "Hmm, you are a wierd one aren't you," one of them said. A tall, muscular man had approached Lorack along with three others, a short human looking male, a medium sized athletic woman, and an elf woman. "If you could not already tell, me and my companions here are adventurers," the tall man had said, "and what you displayed just right now was absolutely phenomenal. We would like to ask you to join us in our adventures. It never hurts to have another able hand." Just then Lorack had fulfilled his dreams. Fame, money glory, and most importantly all the women that would want him after bards had sang songs about him throughout the lands. He accepted their offer and began a life of adventuring.
I was wondering if maybe i could get a background bonus in either diplomacy or dungeoneering checks. Its up to you but this is just a basic backstory. Not some of my best work but eh it'll have to do for now till i rp some stuff next sundays game.
