PARANORMAL TRAGEDY STRIKES AGAIN! THE UNITED NATIONS TO SET UP GLOBAL TASKFORCE!
By Bill Cane
This past Sunday, yet another example of the devastating wave of paranormal activity rocked the town of Evanston, Wyoming. Travelers eastbound on Interstate 80 towards Evanston from Utah reported a strange figure staggering down the middle of the highway, seemingly bound fro Evanston from parts unknown. Described by witnesses as 'bewildered and possibly intoxicated,' the unusual figure was apparently unaware of the danger he was in from late evening traffic, prompting the intervention of the state's highway patrol. It wasn't until the local authorities attempted to detain the individual for his own safety that the situation became dangerous. Confused and frustrated, the paranormal lashed out at the officers confronting him, killing them instantly. As the situation quickly escalated, the clearly agitated paranormal tried to escape only to be confronted again by Evanston police, resulting in a confrontation that all but destroyed several blocks of commercial property. Within hours, PRA and National Guard units arrived in Evanston intent on containing the situation. Unable to cause even the slightest harm to the now enraged superhuman confronting them, the situation spiraled out of control. The ensuing altercation caused millions of dollars in property damage and cost the lives of hundreds of innocent American citizens. The PRA managed to subdue and apprehend the paranormal, but the devastation left in his wake is absolutely shocking... particularly to the millions of spectators who watched the events unfold live on news channels across the globe who now can no longer deny the growing paranormal threat.
Combined with the events at "Ground Zero, " the "Evanston Incident" solicited a panicked response from all corners of the world. While "Ground Zero" was the first event to open the eyes of the world, the "Evanston Incident" has finally moved the rest of the globe to take action. Fearful that paranormal monsters now lurked around every corner, ready to explode amidst unwary citizens at a moment's notice, the world's populace demanded a response from their leadership. Within days of the events in Evanston anti-paranormal demonstrations were organized in major cities across the globe, many of which devolved into riots. In several countries, concerned citizens have assaulted and, in many circumstances, publicly executed suspected paranormals in an effort the reclaim the world for 'normal' man. The chaos grew and soon threatened to consume international safety and peace of mind. Seven Thunders Reverend Luke Butler has used the events to fuel his anti-paranormal crusade in the effort to galvanize his Christian fellowship against what he believes is the coming of the End Times.
In response to the growing threat, the United Nations followed in the footsteps of the American government's response to "Ground Zero." They have formed the United Nations Paranormal Action Executive, or PAX, a subcommittee of the UN security council. They have held a number of meetings open to the press concerning the sharing of ideas as to how to contain the threat and aftermath of both tragedies. Just yesterday, however they had a closed off meeting that lasted for seven uninterrupted hours. Four individuals in attendance had never attended a PAX meeting before. Two of those individuals included PRA Director Natalya Borsokov and a New York criminal psychologist named Jeremiah Prophet, while the other two were the Governor of New York as well as the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
That evening, PAX officials held a press conference on the steps of the United Nations plaza. The Secretary-General of the UN announced the formation of a new organization taht would be dedicated to preserving international peace and security in response to the potential trheats pose to both by the "amoral and unconscionable use" of paranormal abilities. "If individual nations," the Secretary-General said, "are incapable of taking action to deal with the threat to international security posed by these new phenomena, then the UN must be that vanguard of such an effort." As the astonished media listened, the Secretary-General went on to say that this new organization, code-named 'Vanguard,' would operate under sanction from the United Nations. The Governor of New York took the podium and announced that the state, as a sign of goodwill and support, had donated Governor's Island to the United Nations in order to provide Vanguard with a base of operations.
This is indeed exciting news! Finally, the rest of the globe is following the beacon of hope and strength as put forth by the PRA of our own United States of America! May evil paranormals across the globe know that their moment has come and passed. Humanity will not be so easily broken and our vengeance will be swift and harsh. God bless the USA!
