Regretably there is no game today. The next time we are scheduled to play Danu is August the 28th. I'll be here and am willing to run the game.
That said, I am considering passing the reigns to Phil for a while, so he can run a Karnth game in my timeslot. Phil is not quite ready to pick that up, but let's work out the scheduling of this.
Next we are scheduled for the 11th and 25th of September. I will be gone for both of those Sundays.
So what do you guys want to do? Remember, I'll be gone for the scheduled time in September, so you'll have to find another place if you guys are playing those dates.
Options: 1. Phil starts Karnth on August 28th (if prepared by then), and find a new venue for the Sept games.
2. Kyle runs Danu on August 28th. Phil starts Karnth on September 11th at a different venue.
3. Kyle runs Danu on August 28th. September is a break period. Phil starts Karnth on October 9th (it only seems far away). We can continue to play at Kyle's apt.
Other options are welcome.
PS- People involved: Kyle, Phil, David, Zach, Mike, JP. Mike doesn't use the boards, but we can always call him with our decision. He's likely to be happy to play anything. So the rest of you, please weigh in.

Kyle - I'm willing to do any of the options. However, I feel like Karnth, with how difficult I like to make things, will need a full 5 player party.
1. I can run on the 28th, and we can see how you guys enjoy the adventure. For two of you, it will be a rerun (Remember I already have Samale's Keep and Corelyn's Tower planned out). And we can take a break September to resume October.
2. I can start on the 28th, and run through September, if the party is feeling dangerous. Or, if you have a character already created, Kyle, you can have someone play him as well.
3. I can start in october a bit more prepared.
In all honesty, I think preparation for me comes to the inspiration to not let players down. So since I have no game yet, I am prepping kinda slowly. But put a game in my hands, and i'd have to pick up the pace and have an adventure prepared for each time we play.
If we start in September, I can fill Mike in on how to build a character for Karnth, or if we start on the 28th, we can have a character creation half day, introduction to adventure, and perhaps an encounter.

I will be gone on Aug 28th, Sept 11th, and Oct 9th for weddings (the third of those being my own).

Well september is out of the mix now. Suggest discussion about Karnth on aug 28th, roleplay build up/character creation in september, and first game oct 9th, where david can join the following session?

I recommend inviting another player to round things out. Stephen never got back to me regarding Danu (however moot), but maybe you could ask him? Or you could put a post on the HiredSwords forum. There may be some people from the AGR community who are still looking for games in the area.
We could play with 4 to try things out on Aug 28, then have a week off. You'd have 4 again on Sept 25th when David returns, and then again on Oct 9th (when I come back and David is gone). After that there would be 5, assuming no one else has scheduling conflict.
I would still like to play on the 28th. I suggest Karnth for that day, because Kuaya (David) will be missing from Danu and JP would be a new character. They are overcomable story obstacles, but still obstacles . . .

Well if you want to relate to Mike about building a lvl 5 character, that is fine.

Also why would we need another player? I really dislike holding games with 6 players as I feel it becomes a bit too much to handle and that it is less of a challenge for the heroes

Oh, well I was just suggesting, so that you wouldn't have the 4 player or less problem if people are absent. If you are happy with five, then that's great. Six can start bogging down the game a bit.
Zach, JP, what do you guys think about this plan? When was the last time JP actually logged on here, anyway?
