I think all striker plus novalord would be a lot of fun if we work together tactically. If our firepower is strong enough theoretically we don't need a defender. We'd do just as well with a wizard or other powerful controller

What are the rules for the "special" races? Are they either light or dark? Neither? Is a divine class "special" race allowed?

"Special" races are neither light nor dark, and as such are not allowed divine classes.

I'm playing a mul battlemind, and Mike said he'd bring a sorcerer for his friend.

Mmm, I'll be joining too. I'm having trouble figuring out what I want to play. Do you guys feel like you need a particular role?

BAM. Half-Orc Slayer with a spiked chain. Would have been a Bugbear, but the lighting system in L&S made me wary of playing a dark race. Hopefully being a '0' race is worth giving up oversized. Spiked chain to steal all sorts of stupidly awesome light blade feats.

If we decide we want something else before Sunday I've got characters for each role that I'm eager to play as well.
Edit: Also, let me know if the build is ok David.

Is Assassin (Executioner), the Martial and Shadow one, considered a Divine class or a Martial class like the Skald?
Also, Vampires... You say Dark race Vampires have their Necrotic and Radiant effects flipped. Does this also mean that Dark race Vampires 'burn' up in direct Moonlight?

The world will be based on a strong Light/Darkness Dichotomy. Races will be separated into Light, Dark, Twilight, and Special races. Light and Dark races will have trouble in each other's territory. For example, vision types will be equalized, so Dark races, e.g. will have reversed vision instead of darkvision, and have trouble seeing in bright light. I have a question about the vision dichotomy. So you say dark races will have reversed vision instead of Darkvision. So what happens to those races labeled as Dark, but those that do and don't have Darkvision? Does a Goliath who has No special vision at all is now treated as such: Total Darkness: +/- 0 Dim Light: -2 Bright Light: -5 If the above is correct, what happens to Drow who has Darkvision? Does he see perfectly fine in all light sources as in a normal campaign (i.e. he gains 'Lightvision' since all Dark races see normally in Total Darkness)? Does he essentially lose his Darkvision benefit since all Dark races natively see in Total Darkness? If so, how does he treat Dim light? And then races like the Revenant, Dark race with low-light vision, is there vision like this?: Total Darkness: +/- 0 Dim Light: +/- 0 Bright Light: -5 Edit:Nevermind... I just saw the updated light rules in the middle of this thread. So essentially, all racial vision benefits are out the window.
