Does one gain a second Fighting Style if they MC two classes that have that feature? I don't see why not, but it seems like a useful option.

Yes, you gain all class features except the ones that are modified in multiclass rules.

it seems we can't create our own characters in roll 20 and that the DM has to do it? or am i not finding where to do it?

Count me in as a possible player. I'm pretty sure I'll be available.
I'll probably roll an elf monk.

When a new player joins I will assign a character in the journal to that player. This makes the character editable and grants access to the character sheet. I have assigned characters to Phil and Joseph, so far. I will continue to assign characters as people join the campaign. Welcome, Stephen. Micah said he's only available on July 6, which is fine. I think we'll have 3 for this Sunday, yes? If so, I propose we start at 1 pm PDT (It will be 4 pm for me).

To reinforce what Kyle said, you'll want to join the game ASAP as it does take a bit of time to set up your character sheets and macros, none of which you can do until you join the game so that Kyle can give you access to your "blank sheet." It's not something you'll just do real quick at 1pm this Sunday. In the future I hope Roll 20 will give players the ability to make their own before joining a game and then submit them to the GM, but for now it's just the way Roll 20 works.
Go ahead and start at 1pm, but I probably won't be logging in until 1:30ish.

I think you need to be a paying member to be able to edit stuff out of game, but yeah, i think it's kind of weird.

I'm interested in playing, but it seems unlikely that I'll find the time to make a character (or familiarize myself with the Roll20 system) before this Sunday happens what with all the packing and moving going on around here. I'm in for the 6th and 13th, though.

Hi David, I hope the move goes well. I understand if you don't have time this weekend. I look forward to having you join us on the sixth.

Thanks for the game yesterday, guys. It was really fun.
For next week:
On July 3, the character creation for fighter, wizard, rogue, and cleric will be released. Also the races human, elf, halfling, and dwarf. I'll encourage anyone to roll up a character with the newly released basic rules for use next week. If you want to play something other than those four classes, go ahead and use the play-test material.
Also, quick poll for Phil and Stephen: Do you want to finish out the adventure from last week, or do you mind if we gloss over that with a fresh start for this week? I only bring it up, because story-wise it'll be easier for a fresh start than to try to extend the final encounter I had planned into a longer continued adventure with 2 additional PCs. It's up to you.
Micah - I can see your name under my players list in the Roll20 game, but when I tried to assign a character to you, your name was unavailable. I don't know what the problem is, but we need to figure that out sometime early this week so you can load in your character to the Roll20 system.
David - Did I send you a Roll20 game invite? PM me with your email address if I haven't and I'll send you one. We'll also get you set up with a character.
