PARANORMAL MANIA SWEEPS THE NATION!!
By Bill Cane
The missing Senator Ikemann knew exactly what he was saying when he said "the tragic events that occurred in Sacramento have forever changed our society and ways of viewing the world around us." It seams the Sacramento Tragedy, a day now commonly referred to as "Ground Zero," has sparked a wave of paranormal activity across the nation.
Senator Ikemann himself is missing following an assault on a press conference he was holding concerning the newly formed PRA. Two of his kidnappers known only as "Aries" and "Taurus" are at the top of the PRA's most wanted list. They have been seen with another unidentified masked individual in yet another kidnap caper in which they succeeded in capturing up and coming LA model Elan Star, most commonly known for her recurring role in the hit reality show "The Hills." The paranormal Ares has the ability to generate and manipulate fire while his companion Taurus is a creature of tremendous strength and fortitude. A third assailant currently wanted for questioning in connection to both kidnappings is one Uchio Toshi. Unlike the other kidnappers he does not hide his identity. A 17 year old resident of Unity, California he had aspirations of going to college before his newfound powers manifested and evidently led him to a life of crime. No one from his hometown had any knowledge of his ability to fly or manipulate gravity as seen on prime time new stations across the world. His mother is currently unavailable to comment.
Meanwhile effects of the paranormal outbreak have not been limited to national politics and Hollywood starlets. A few reported instances of young teenagers attempting to re-create what they call "breakouts" have begun to pop up in various cities across the country. In these breakouts an individual or group of individuals who believe that powers develop only in times of stress are attempting to create incredibly stressful situations in the hopes that the experience will unlock powers of their own. So far these "breakouts" have only resulted in embarrassment or in some cases great tragedy. Take, for instance, the tale of Jacob Castle.
Jacob Castle, a young and promising MIT student had a life-long obsession with comic books. Castle reportedly set fire to his garage while trapped inside hoping to create his own "breakout." After the authorities got the fire under control they discovered Castle inside, unconscious and badly burned. EMTs rushed him to the hospital where doctors were able to save his life. He had third degree burns over seventy percent of his body. Doctors expect a long and painful recovery ahead.
Religion in America has also not emerged from "Ground Zero" unscathed. A new Christian sect out of Laramie, Wyoming under the leadership of Reverend Luke Butler calling itself "The Holy Church of the Seven Thunders" has formed in direct reaction to the events in Sacramento. Reverend Butler claims that paranormals are a sign that the End Times were coming and would soon be upon them. He believes all paranormals to be no less than demons in human flesh, the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. They (paranormals) would create false religions to worhip them and turn people away from faith in Jesus Christ. They would bring about a war in which the earth would shake, the sky would burn, and the oceans would be as blood. Butler paints them as destroyers and servants of Hell and that so long as the faithful continued to believe and do God's work they would be saved and taken up into Heaven, while the corrupt world of the paranormals and their worshippers would die in fire and be cast into eternal torment.
Currently the newly formed PRA is reporting that it has been investigating leads as to the whereabouts of the four men involved with the Ikemann and Star kidnappings as well as new undiscovered potential paranormal threats across America. It is this magazine's hope that the PRA succeeds in preventing the chaos these paranormals have begun to sow across the nation and bringing to halt this terrible nightmare before it spreads to other less secure parts of the globe.
