A violent explosion burst into the vision. The heroes were going to die. Flashes of brilliant color followed as the oracle watched the heroes fall one by one. Betrayal... Betrayal... The oracle could do nothing, she floated above the vision as if she were the eyes.
Suddenly a voice rang out behind the oracle.
"So you didn't see this before you sent them out?" cackled a coarse female voice.
The oracle turned and stared down an elf with long black hair. The elf floated there, almost graceful, as the flashes of light from the fight below reflected upon her beauty. She was tall and slender, her robes draped tight upon her skin revealing the natural curves of her body. Her arms were folded on her chest, and one of her hands bore a large ring with a opal in it. The elf's eyes were a brilliant green but almost lifeless as they stared at the oracle.
"Too bad... They must be entering the jungle by now."
"Y-y-you did this didn't you?!" cried the oracle.
"Sister... sister... You know my ability to scrye has always been better than yours. Of course I saw this. Why do you think my master sent Cathon there to begin with? I've seen through all of this. I wonder how far you can see now. Can you see how it ends?"
"... No. But neither can you. The future has been disrupted... But... I know your master will fal!"
"Ha! Don't make me laugh. You can't see such a thing. Not even I can... But I am starting to unravel it. The clouds that mist the future are starting to part. You had better hope you can figure that out first... But I'll part you with this, sister. And hopefully you don't see their end before I do."
The elf stalked forward and unfolded her arms, placing her ringed hand onto the oracles forehead. The oracle tried to shy away from the touch but the hand crept up no matter how far she backed away. It clamped upon her head and suddenly, the oracle awoke on her bed inside the Elven Embassy of Fallcrest. Her brow lined with drops of cold sweat.
"Guards! In here!" she cried. The door burst open and an elf warrior stepped into the room.
"My lady, what is wrong?!" the man said, as he drew out his blade.
"Bring me parchment and pen. And you must send word for Orontor to meet me at once!"

To <insert character name here>,
We have not met before but I have sent this message to you to tell you that your destiny has been reached. Maybe you have felt this already, maybe you have not, but you are now a container for great power. You bear the mark of the heroes of old. And now we request you to be a new hero of ages.
Forget your past crimes and past heroic acts. You are now pardoned to be part of something greater. Something that will determine the fate of the world.
At once you must meet with Orontor at the Fallcrest Academy in Fallcrest. I am afraid that even if you choose not to come, your fate is already bound and forces will bring you here regardless of your will.
Signed,
Oracle

Already you have been marked as a possessor of great power. I do not know your past but only your future. Perhaps you were given visions or dreams as the emblem appeared upon your skin, but you know I speak the truth. Hurry hero, the world needs you.
