Hey Gang,
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying out an online table top (OTT) for a session or two. I've come across a couple different options. I think there are some paid OTT services, but most have at least basic functionality for free (i.e., freemium business models).
One that I have registered with is called Roll20.net and it has some good basic free services including map+tokens, token/character abilities, die roller (both digital and simulated physics rolls), video chat, etc. The software is rules-neutral, so it doesn't matter what RPG you are playing (D&D version x, GURPS, M&M, etc.).
If you want to see how it works, register and then try to set up your own campaign. Then there will be a 12 min intro video for how to operate the interface.
Anyways, if you are interested, maybe we can get a couple people and do an online session to try it out. Let me know.
Btw - I'm living in Concepcion, Chile now, and I my time zone is 5 hours ahead of Pacific Time.
¡Hasta luego! Kyle

I'd love to play, though the time difference may make it impossible; I'd likely be able to play in the late evening PST. This was always a problem when I was playing WoW and I found myself playing (and in a guild) with Australians and New Zealanders.

I'd be willing to try out a session or two with you on it. I probably can't commit to more than a couple hours, but to mess around with it to see how it works I can do. 7am or 8am Pacific time would be great for me which is noon or 1pm for you right?

Yeah, I figure it'll just be messing around without anything real serious. We can get a feel for how the interface works, set up a couple characters and try out an encounter or two.
I will be traveling to a meeting next weekend, so probably the following week would be best for me. I think Sunday the 19th will work. As far as the time goes - noon or 1 would work for me (8 am PST), but if other people want to join later, I'll can still be available.

Joseph, It turns out I have to go do some pressing errands today, and I won't have time to meet up on Roll20. Maybe another time.

Let me know the next time you guys are thinking, and perhaps I can join in. I have a lot of time conflicts though @_@.
