Generally games based on books/tv shows/movies or well established universes (outside of the game universe), tend to be terrible.

SPOILERS
Just a quick overview question..
Why again did the kingdom go to war in A Game of Thrones? And could it easily have been as resolved as Geoffery not killing Eddard, Jaime Lannister admitting to assaulting Eddard and facing punishment, and Gregor Cleghain being brought in by Tywin Lannister to court for his "crimes"?
It seems to me that a lot of the battles just come together for honor and due to a pity party.
"Hey, I think we should talk to them peacefully about this issue." "NO. TO WAR!"

SPOILERS Just a quick overview question.. - Because Joffery is such an immature, foolish brat with power that he cannot follow the schemes of his mother's own quest for power; WIS is his dump stat. - Why would Jaime want to face punishment when deception could be used to make his actions look justified; the Lannisters already spun the story by pointing out that Eddard and his men were leaving a brothel. Jaime's moral character, that which would case him to take responsibility for his actions, is seriously lacking due to the whole incest-deception and attempt to kill Bran. - Why would Tywin Lannister bring The Mountain to court? The Lannisters can use the chaos to their advantage as they eliminate their enemies. Wasn't Tywin was preparing to march against the Eryie to free Tyrion when the shit hit the fan down in Kings Landing? Then Robb called his army together to rescue his father from the Lannisters (as he would see it) and so Tywin was provided a new objective when Tyrion freed himself and the new threat from the northern "rebels" marched south. One might argue that if Catelyn hadn't arrested Tyrion, Tywin may not have had his army so quickly assembled. Anyhow, the Lannisters seem to be power hungry and when an opportunity presents itself they take it.
