So let's have a little discussion before people start doing crazy things. I'm justifying the story element of the respec option from the journey through the Mists of Time. It's crazy magic has a way of doing, and un-doing things. David, I'm not sure if that was your intention, but that's how I'm interpreting things. After we emerge from this mystical path, we find ourselves reformed.
Personally, I feel that being a fighter is pretty core to the character of Watcher, so I'll at least stick with that. At minimum I may drop the plate prof for something that will help with damage. Though, I am considering rebuilding Watcher as either a two-blade Tempest Fighter, or an essentials Knight.
The Knight is probably more in line with how Watcher plays right now (e.g., shield), but the Tempest would be fun as well, and has good damage.
So that's what I'm thinking. Now here's my question for respec:
Should we keep the same stat array? Can we re-arrange the scores if we respec? Watcher rolled scores last time, and they are significantly higher than the standard array. If I respec should I choose a new standard array?
. . .
My only suggestion to the other players is to play in role (striker, defender, leader, controller). If we start taking controllers or defenders and trying to make them strikers, things don't work out so well (imo). Watcher can stick with being a defender, unless someone else really wants that role.
. . .
Lastly, Zach:
I know you were thinking of having Gwen move on from the party, as she doesn't seem to have the motivation to stick with this plot thread.
Watcher keeps an eye on Gwen. If she starts to move off, he inquires where she's going. If she tells him she's leaving then Watcher gets conflicted. However, just as when Aeron'eth was going to go through the portal, Watcher will remain with the majority of the group. It's Gwen's decision to stay or leave, but at least let Watcher escort her to the train station, and if she ever needs his help in the future (dun dun dun!) then all she has to do is ask.
